Polycom Cx100 Driver For Mac

Polycom Cx100 may sometimes be at fault for other drivers ceasing to function These are the driver scans of 2 of our recent wiki members* *Scans were performed on computers suffering from Polycom Cx100 disfunctions. Hello all, Just to elaborate on this reply. The driver support for CX devices is provided via the LYNC and/or Skype for Business client. To my knowledge Microsoft only supported the CX300 R2 (and assuming the CX300) up to the LYNC client 14.x.x.x on a Mac.

I have a E7240 that is approx 1 yr old and now acting up with some of my USB devices. I have a Polycom CX100 speaker that used to work flawlessly whenever I had it plugged into the laptop undocked or docked. About a week ago I started to get the USB Device Not Recognized error message when I plugged it in. It happened both when docked and undocked. I thought the Polycom died so I ordered another one.same problem. Well, I spent countless hours reading online and still have issues. I have upgraded BIOS, taken the battery out, deleted everything out of device manager, power up, power down, check BIOS settings, run Microsoft fixit tools, etc and still no luck.

The only way I got it to work was to plug it into the side USB port rather than the back USB ports (I'd testing undocked right now)! I normally use the side USB for my Logitech USB mouse but unplugged it to troubleshoot. Low and behold my Polycom speaker worked in the side port. I plugged it into the back ports (still undocked) and get the all too familiar 'USB device not recognized' error message. So, how can I get the back USB ports working and why does there seem to be a different response from side vs.

Polycom Drivers Windows 10

I need them to work when undocked then I can tackle getting it to work when docked. Incredibly frustrating Dell. Any more troubleshooting ideas would be greatly appreciated. I installed the chipset driver and rebooted.

Funny thing is it said installed successfully but when I go back and run system analysis it says I still need to install: -Intel 8 Series Chipset Device Software Driver -Intel(R) Management Engine 9.5 Components Installer I did this a few times and its the same result. A successful install but they still show up as needing to be installed. I plugged in my Polycom CX100 USB device and of course it still says 'USB device not recognized'. When the device shows up in the diagnostic list it shows up in the category of 'Devices that failed enumeration'. I don't know what that means but I have something else to pursue and am no further ahead.

Any other suggestions? More confusion and information for the story.

Polycom Cx300 Driver

I plugged my laptop into the docking station today and thought I'd try plugging in the CX100 fully expecting it to fail but sure enough, it was recognized just fine. I plugged and unplugged it twice and it works flawlessly. Ok, I quickly unplugged the CX100 from the docking station, undocked my laptop and plugged the Polycom CX100 into the undocked machine and I get the 'USB Device not Recognized' error message! Both ports on the back give the same result. Side port now gives an the 'USB Device Not Recognized' error as well. How can this be.it was just working.

One more final update. On a whim I decided to purchase a powered USB hub today. Plugged that into the laptop and it worked fine. I then plugged my Polycom CX100 into the hub rather than directly into the laptop and it is now working for the first time in a long time. Does this make any sense?

Polycom Cx100 Firmware

It used to work plugged directly into the laptop, why not now? Is it possible the laptop cannot supply the appropriate current and the voltage drops and causes the error? I know I'm grasping at straws but what else can it be? IT certainly seems hardware and not software related at this point.
