Good day leaf wiz I take it from your post that there are not devices under device manager listed. First being a nforce user myself. I can feel your pain about device problems. While trying an older version of the sp2 3244 I think tried to install a apci microsoft version that was not completely stable.

Have you checked with the manufacturers web site to see which nforce4 drivers are compatbile with xp? Just curious. Thought there was a 5.xx limit with your chip set. Nforcershq seems to be knowledgeable about chipset issues. Or Nvidia forums which manufactures the chipset. And of course your motherboard manufacturer website may have some information Have you looked in error logs, or attempted to use bootlog during boot to see where the error originates?

Should show which driver failed initialization. Alternatively: I believe if you live search or search for a remixed 6.99 chip set driver with nforce2 might be a solution. All though is not recommend, not being from the manufacturer or Nvidia nor knowing if the source added anything.

Hey Leaf wizard The easiet solution I used to fix my ethernet problems was doing some research and here is the link for the 6.99 remixed driver that may work with your system this is for 32 bit windows xp home, pro a nvidia driver usable for x86 or 32 bit systems is v5.10 wish is available And the highest version for x32 based windows xp that recognizes you chipset is designed for vista beta two beta, but will still work for xp, w2k and is whql certified. Is here I have not look at this last file. May be the same file modded for vista. If you are interested in the original page I found this information on there are enough hints in this page to live search for, or g for and find the original page. For nforce 4 the latest version I have been able to find for xp, w2k for intel is v7.13 and is in ngohq files downloads for nforceware if you have any questions please email to (z's added) Please note x64 bit windows users require different drivers and research may be required to find them.
